Matthew G. Thornton

ALBANY-Matthew G. Thornton, 37, Albany, NY passed away at 2:30am on 12/12/16 at Albany Medical Center MICU unit surrounded by family and friends from a brief illness.

Matthew grew up all his life in Albany and enjoyed multiple business ventures he owned in Albany. Matt owned a hardwood flooring business, a roofing business, and a straight general contracting business. He enjoyed outdoor living, fishing, sports, and the all-around living of life. Matt used to be an amateur and professional fighter in his early years.

Matt is survived by his parents Paul and Georgia Thornton (Tompkins); brothers Percy Sanville Jr. (Stephanie Gilbert), Daniel Thornton, Andrew Jablonski; nieces and nephews Niko, Yadi, Jonathen, Megan, Alex, Aeolous, and Lilly; uncles David Tompkins (Olga) and Ralph Tompkins.

Visitation time is Friday, 12/16/16, from 4pm-6pm New Comer Funeral Home on New Karner Rd.
