Maureen Gail Mason

Maureen Gail Mason, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.
Maureen was born in Johnstown, NY to the late Eddison and Kathryn Kretser. After moving to the Capital District, Maureen attended Mildred Elley Business Institute where she graduated in 1958, then worked for Travelers Insurance and then furthered her career for New York State with the Tax and Finance Department where she later retired in 2001. Maureen enjoyed needle point, her fill-in books, vacationing with her family but mostly spending time with her grandchildren.
Maureen is survived by her daughters, Pamela (George) Gebhardt and Wendy (Joe) Ogden; her grandchildren, Heather and Sarah Gebhardt, Joey and David Ogden. She is the loving sister of Donovan and David (Marilyn) Kretser. She is also survived by a niece, nephews and a cousin.
Funeral services will be Friday at 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
