Niskayuna- Maureen Kimball passed away peacefully on, January 17, 2022 after a long illness with her cherished family at her side. Born in Troy on March 7, 1942 she was the daughter of the late Robert T. Murray and Amie Campbell.
Maureen was a registered nurse having served in several capacities at Albany Medical Center including the neonatal intensive care unit, nurse manager of obstetrics and gynecology, human resources and nurse recruitment. She loved taking care of mothers and babies.
Maureen will always be loved and cherished for her kind, gentle ways and most importantly, for always putting the needs of others in front of her own. She truly was the consummate wife, mother and nurse.
Maureen enjoyed and excelled at virtually everything she pursued, including many hobbies, crafts and sports, including making beautiful pinecone wreaths, beaded flowers, decorating goose and ostrich eggs, synchronized swimming, skiing, golf, cycling and gardening. She also was an excellent cook and baker.
Aside from her worldly accomplishments, Maureen's greatest love by far was for her family, which never wavered. She was the most devoted mother and wife that anyone could have.
She always dressed beautifully and was the epitome of grace, refinement, style and beauty.
No one enjoyed life more than Maureen. She found beauty in everything to the very end. Maureen never complained of her illness and lived everyday with grace, love and courage.
