It is with great sorrow that the family of Maureen (Pajo- nas) Palmer announces her peaceful passing on June, 28. 2024.

Maureen was born to Mary and Alphonse Pajonas on August 27, 1946, in Plattsburgh, New York.

She received her bachelor's degree in education from The College at St. Rose and completed her graduate degree at the State University of New York at Albany. Throughout her career, Maureen was a dedicated and beloved teacher in the South Colonie CSD where she greatly impacted the lives of many students. Following college, she remained a resident of the greater Albany area where she became active in church and civic activities. She was dedicated to her Catholic faith and served her church in many capacities. Mau- reen also served on the Board of Directors of the Schools Systems Federal Credit Union for over 25 years. It was the simple pleasures in life that brought the greatest joy to Maureen. Her life was guided by her dedication to her faith and her family. She loved rich conversations and peaceful music. Maureen relished quiet mornings with a cup of coffee, a book and a slice of cinnamon coffee cake. Friends and family cherished her handwritten notes with polished phrases laced with encouragement and delicate grace. Her notes reflected her kind and gentle nature. Maureen's peaceful, yet dynamic, personality made her a beloved sister, aunt, friend and teacher.

She will be missed by her nieces Lisa Latour (Scott), Jessica Schultz (Steve), Mar- tine-Eve Pajonas, Kathryn DeCock (Nick), her nephew Joseph Pajonas (Emma), several grand nieces and nephews, countless friends and former students. Maureen's family and friends take comfort in knowing, that she is reunited with her parents Mary and Al- phonse, her brothers, Billy and Mitch, and her sister Peg.

A funeral mass will be held at 12 pm on August 24 at St. Edwards Church in Clifton Park , 569 Clifton Park Center Rd.

We are grateful and blessed for the time we shared with Maureen. She brought immeasurable joy, love, and laughter to many, and for that, we are forever grateful
