Mavis Agatha Ross, 89, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Kingston, Jamaica and was the daughter of the late Joshua Ross and Eulalee Aikman.
Mavis enjoyed spending time with her entire family and loved cooking and baking for them.
She is survived by her daughters Pam Henriques and Marcia McBean; grandchildren LaTanya Henriques, Rainard Henriques and Justice Henriques; great-grandchild Christian Young; Jean (Dane) Palmer, Damian (Debbie) Moyston; Calvin (Claudette) Campbell, Vincent (Janet) Ross, Sharon (Andrew) Anderson, Richard (Ava) Lawrence, Wayne Lawrence, Dave (Fay) Lawrence, Carla Harris and many other dear nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews; cousin Valda, brother Jimmy and other beloved relatives and friends.
Calling hours will be on April 10, 2021, from 10:00am to 11:00am at Capital Church, 31 Vly Road, Albany, NY 12205. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00am. Services will be available via YouTube for those who will unable to attend the services (please see link below). Burial will be at a later date in St. Catherine, Jamaica.
In lieu of flowers, an offering will be taken at the funeral service for Marantha Gospel Hall, Kingston, Jamaica.
