TROY - May E. Johnpier, 95, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014.

May was born on June 3, 1919 in East Durham, NY. She worked for Stanley's Department Store, Montgomery Ward, Watervliet Arsenal, and retired from Borden's. She enjoyed gardening and mowing her lawn with her riding mower.

May is the mother of Evelyn (Fred W.) Dobert and the late Patricia Johnpier; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a great great grandson. She is also survived by her best friend, Janet Denton and dear friends, Gary Kiddney and Steven Fox.

The family wishes to express the sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at the VanRensselaer Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care and dedicated service they gave to May for the past three years.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
