Mederic E. Auger, Jr.
August 23, 1926 — February 22, 2014
Mederic E. Auger, Jr. 87, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2014 with his family by his side. Mederic was born in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Mederic E. Auger, Sr. and Alice (Hevey) Auger.
Mederic proudly served with the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from General Electric. He was an avid golfer and loved taking cruises with his wife, Dorothy.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Cecile Auger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy G. Auger, his children, Mederic E. (Joan) Auger III, Laurie J. Harlow, William R. (JoAnne) Auger, Patricia M. Auger and Mary (Frank) Esposito. He is also survived by his brothers, sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Ellis Residential & Rehabilitation Center for all care and compassion given to Mederic.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 9:00am at St. Clare's Church.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
