Saratoga Springs –On August 16, 2010, Media A. Nye was promoted to glory after a heroic battle with cancer. She passed away quietly surrounded by her loving family.
After graduating High School, she attended nursing school and graduated with an associates degree in nursing. She retired after 38 years of doing what she loved most. Media was predeceased by her loving husband of 21 years, Edgar Nye.
She was a devoted member of her church, The Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of her devoted and loving Pastor, Beresford E. Bailey until her illness prevented her from attending services. She leaves behind her faithful companion, Chanel, her poodle. She also leaves behind her loving and devoted family who took care of her every need until God called her home: her daughter Vicki Nye-Cordi, son-in-law Carlo Cordi, son Benjamin Conde (Winnie), four wonderful grandchildren, who she loved very much: Madisyn Conde, Nicholas Cordi, Sophia Cordi and the light of her life Carmalena Cordi and great-grandson Carlito Cordi. Her sister Pam Yourno and a few friends, Frank Summa, Dr. Wei Wei and Lillian Samuals also survive.
We want to thank God for providing her with such knowledgeable and caring doctors: Dr. Nini Wu, Dr. Ronald Musto, Dr. Debbie Yongleman and Dr. Duncan Savage and their tremendous staff.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday August 28 at The Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Clinton Ave., Albany. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
