Melanie E. St. Louis

LOUDONVILLE - Melanie St. Louis, 64, of Loudonville, NY, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024,

surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 20, 1960 in Albany, NY, she was predeceased by her mother Maryalyce (Brady) Struck and father J. Luis Ochoa.

Melanie is survived by her loving husband Gerald “Jerry” St. Louis, who she shared over fifty beautiful years with. Melanie attended Mercy High School and previously worked at Albany Memorial Hospital and MetLife Auto & Home.

She is a devoted Catholic and her greatest joy was raising her children and caring for her grandchildren at Grammy and Pa’s house. Melanie was known to be the most caring, generous, kindhearted soul, and was truly selfless. She was an avid baker, loved gardening, being outdoors and had a great love for animals; especially their beagle, Jessie.

Melanie is survived by her five children, Melena (Jason) Marinucci, Peter (Megan) St. Louis, Jeffrey (Danielle) St. Louis, Christina (Vinnie) Salvagio, and Michael (Felicia) St. Louis. She treasured her ten grandchildren, Noah, Dominick, Ryan, Ava, Angelo, Skylar, Jonah, Zachary, Neko and Giavonna. She is survived by her siblings Charles Hupe, Rella Hupe-Cole, Gina Slyer, Sandra West, and Andrea Mason. She is also survived by her Uncle Harold Brady, Aunt Leonora Slingerland, sister-like cousin Alyce Wessels and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Latham, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday September 10th at 10:00 AM at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, NY. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, NY.
