passed away peacefully at
home Jan. 26, 2012. Born
May 2, 1920 in Coleman,
Alberta, predeceased by
parents John and Lillie Mac
Kinnon and brothers Don
and Archie.
Raised and educated in Cadomin
and Edmonton, Alberta. Melba
taught school in Rat Lake
and Cadomin, Alberta and later
pre- school in Slingerlands,
NY. Melba and Bryson served
Methodist Churches in New York and
Vermont. She enjoyed bridge,
scrabble, and Jeopardy,
reading, crossword puzzles,
traveling, the camp, and watching
field hockey, lacrosse, and
ultimate frisbee games, and being with
family and friends was her joy
Melba is survived by her husband
of 65 yrs. Rev. Bryson Smith, her
children Paula (MA), John (Fl),
Joanne and Frank Scanlon
and granddaughter Lauren.
Services of celebration will be held
at Saratoga UMC, 175 Fifth St. Saturday
February 25, 2012 at 4:00pm.
