SCHENECTADY- Melissa Frances Smith, age 46, passed away suddenly at Ellis Hospital on January 7, 2022.
She was born in Kingston, NY, the daughter of Patricia Paul and the late Clyde Smith Sr.
Melissa was predeceased by her brother Clyde Smith Jr., maternal grandparents, Morton F. Johnson and Kathleen Johnson, paternal grandparents, Elmer Smith Sr. and Dorothy Smith.
She was a heavy user of Facebook, Tik Tok and chasing her two dogs Gotti and Capone and also a low key sneaker head.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include her children: Kavaghn Pell, Vincent Poleto, Melaysia Gladd and Alivia Burns; foster son, Kye Washburn; and brother Randolph Smith. Also survived by four grandchildren, several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Virtual services will be held on Zoom on January 23, 2022 starting with a slide show presentation at 2:45 p.m. Memorial talk beginning at 3 p.m. with slides to follow. Sign on is 2511337708, password is Melissa.
