Melvin Chandler, Jr.

SCHENECTADY-Melvin Chandler, Jr. 63 of Schenectady, NY passed away on Monday, May 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 5, 1950, the son of the late Melvin and Eleanor (Hawkins) Chandler. Melvin was a dedicated, loyal and hard worker. He was employed by TLC Seal Coating & Snow Plowing in Guilderland for many years. Melvin enjoyed long walks and loved his family; especially his mother.
Melvin is survived by his siblings Aubrey Tyson, Thelma Butler, Beatrice Butler, Lillian Butler and David (Natasha) Butler and their children Davina Butler and Andrena Butler; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Melvin was predeceased by his siblings Calvin Butler, Carolyn Butler, Vernon Butler Mack Butler and Mary Butler.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 PM on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 3 PM.
