Melvin D. Harvey, 61, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2015 at The Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters with his family by his side.
Melvin was born January 12, 1954, at Albany, NY, the son of the late O.D. Harvey and Willie Mae Davis.
He worked for the University of Albany, and was dedicated for over 20 years.
Melvin loved God and read his word everyday. He was a member of The Shepherd's Chapel.
He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid NY Mets fan.
In addition to his parents he was pre deceased by his brother-in-law, Equilla Gause.
Melvin is survived by his sisters, Roseanna Gause and Nancy (Henry) Young. He is the uncle of Preston Foster, Latisha Gause and Iesha Mullins. He is also survived by a host of great nieces, nephews and family members.
The family would like to thank 5 McAuley and the Hospice Inn for all of the care and compassion given to Melvin and his family.
Funeral services were private.
