Sloansville- Melvin "Mel" A. Kincel , 74, passed away peacefully Friday, November 6th, 2015.
Mel was the son of the late Albert Kincel and Dorothy Kincel. He was an avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed biking, canoeing, and was a member of the Schenectady Winter Sportsclub. He retired from General Electric, where he spent over 30 years working.
He will be forever missed by his daughter, Kirsten (Jeff) Van Dyk, son, Kurt Kincel, two grand children; Gabrielle and Andrew Van Dyk, and Charlotte Kincel.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Kincel.
A celebration of Mel's life will be held on Thursday November 12th, 2015 at 3:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Mel's name.
