Delmar- Merle Jones, 98, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021. Merle was the daughter of the late Harold and Lillian Anderson. Merle was the devoted wife to the late Donald Jones.
Merle attended Albany Academy for Girls and Russell Sage College. She volunteered at Child's Hospital and worked at the Slingerlands school for over 20 years as a noon aid. She loved to vacation at Cape Cod. Merle was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Delmar.
Merle is survived by her children, Alison Jones, Doug Jones, Scott (Nancy) Jones; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher and Nicole Jones; her great grandchild, Tobey Jones and many loving relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Chapel, 35 Adams Pl, Delmar, NY 12054 on Wednesday, August 18 at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Delmar Rescue Squad, 114 Adams St, Delmar, NY 12054.
