Michael Dale Broughton

Michael Dale Broughton, 23, of Latham NY, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageous fight against a rare and aggressive form of cancer on January 2, 2023.

Born April 20, 1999, in Niskayuna, NY he was the son of Jodie and Mark Broughton.

Michael referred to himself as an "Old Soul" believing that he had already experienced many life adventures well before his time here. He attended Shaker High School and worked alongside his father and brother as part owner of their family business. He was a hardworking blue collar young man, never taking life for granted and was always grateful for all he had. In life he enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, boating, bowling, softball, trips to the national parks and he especially loved his get up and go spontaneous road trips on many occasions.
Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Michael has always been a true inspiration to all that have known or met him, always willing to help those in need no matter the time or day.

He is survived by parents Mark "Marcus" and Jodie "Mama B" Broughton, his sister Ashleigh "Ash" and Husband Terrence, Jason "Jaybro" and his wife Nicole, he is also survived by his grandfather Bill Broughton "Pa" nieces and nephews Lily, Logan, Carson, Ryleigh, Bentley, Mila, Adalina, Eden, Alex, Blake and Noah, Several aunts, Uncles, cousins, girlfriend Sara Dranichak, and his fur babies Pax and Roman.

Michael is predeceased by his grandmother's Arlene Adams and Joyce Broughton.

Michael asked that his family have a celebration of life, in lieu of traditional services

Michaels' message to all his family and friends is to "live like you were dying", " Do what you love", " live your best life"
