SCHENECTADY – Michael C. Dooley passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 with his loving wife Lavon at his side.
In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his beloved sister Pam, his sister Susan, his brother Rob, 3 nieces, Chris, Stepanie and Piper, a nephew Rob, and several grand nieces and nephews and a dear friend Jimmy DeSantis.
Michael liked to have fun! He an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan, as his wife being an avid Yankee Fan, we had alot of fun with that. Michael and I and his friend Jimmy did many road trips together. They were always a good time, whether it be Jimmy complaining at the Baseball Hall of Fame, or us doing ice bucket Olympics in the hall of the hotel! Private joke, but hysterical! He was an average guy in so many ways, many of his family came from privileged, but Michael preferred a simple life, camping, a cabin in the woods would make him happy. He will be missed. Our wedding vows, part of it was "I have purity of love for you. I shall love you wholly and completely, without restraint, in sickness and in health, in plenty and poverty, in life and beyond, where we shall meet, remember and love again"
Memorial service 1 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 12 to 1 p.m. Contributions to Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society.
