Michael C. Urban

ALBANY, NY – Michael C. Urban, 61, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 14, 2011. Born in Elmira, NY he was the beloved son of Charles Urban and the late Helen Urban. He resided in Albany for over thirty years. Mike was a graduate of Horseheads High School and Buffalo State University and attended American University. He recently retired as Captain with the New York State Dept. of Corrections with over thirty-five years of service. Mike enjoyed fishing and cooking. He especially loved spending time on Seneca Lake, wine tasting and the races at Watkins Glen. In addition to his father, Mike is survived by his devoted children: Michael C. Urban II, Katherine E. Urban and Erin C. Urban. He is the cherished brother of Patricia Giulino and Gary (Judy) Urban. Also surviving are his loving nieces, Erika Cannon and Jennifer Kelleher.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd.,Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be held at a later date in Seneca Union Cemetery, Valois, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Ronald McDonald House, 139 South Lake Ave., Albany, NY 12208 in memory of Michael C. Urban.
