Michael "Caz" Caslin, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away suddenly on Monday, May 13, 2013, while dropping off a truckload in Colonie, NY after an ongoing illness. He graduated from Arlington High School and studied in the field of Mental Health for several years. Michael was an avid hockey player for several years; in addition to playing Semi-Pro Hockey for the Greensboro Monarchs, Greensboro, NC. He was a Social Worker for several years with the Mental Health Association in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Michael was predeceased by his Father, Basil R. Caslin; Mother, Ena A. Weekes and Step-Father, William R. Vincent. Leaving to mourn is his daughter, Michaela M. McGee, Grand-daughter Alexia T. McGee; Sisters: Beverly J. Hooks, Julie A. Christie; Maternal Aunts: Joyce A., Beverly H. & Marsha J. Russell; Niece: Shavonne A. Hooks; Nephews: Marc A. Hooks & wife, Wynetta and Derek L. Christie; Cousin: Justin P. Griffin & wife Courtney; dear friends Matthew Ludwig, Gordon North, Timothy Bain and a host of friends.
Home-going services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, May 20, 2013 at Higher Ground Worship Center, 802 Stanley Street, Schenectady, NY 12307 with Elder Vincent E. Teague, officiating. A re-pass will follow the service. Calling hours will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM prior to the service at the church.
