Michael J. Coonradt

Cohoes- Michael J. Coonradt, 52, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 30, 2021, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Michael was known for his kindhearted and humble nature and would be the first one to help a friend in need. He had a passion for old cars and took great pride in his automotive restoration and paint work. "Mustang Mike" enjoyed nothing more than the friendships, the camaraderie, drag racing, and supporting his brothers and sisters in the close-knit local race and muscle car communities.

Michael is survived by his mother, Patricia Beers of Waterford; his stepfather and best friend, Kenneth Brockway (Kim) of Cohoes; and his father, Paul Coonradt of Schuylerville. He also leaves behind four loving siblings, Catherine Ferrand (Dave Duval), Heidi Clementi (Ray Reynolds), Stephen Coonradt (Rose Rotach), and Jennifer Jarose (Tom). He will be missed by his 13 nieces and nephews, Jason, Kyle, Brandon, Devin, Amber, Adam, T.J., Emily, Jesse, Kevin, Elias, Azalea, Vayda; and his six great-nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday September 3, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Saturday September 4, 2021 at 10:00 am at Waterford Rural Cemetery, 180 Saratoga Ave, Waterford, NY 12188.
