Michael Foley

Michael Foley, 43, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a courageous 2 year battle with esophageal cancer. Michael was born in Albany and resides in Guilderland. He is the son of Barbara and James Foley. He graduated from Guilderland High School in 1985 and was employed by Capitaland Transportation for many years.
Michael is survived by his parents, Barbara and James Foley; his sisters Patricia Alfieri, Theresa Melucci, Maureen Tomisman, Kathleen Foley; his brothers James Foley, Daniel Foley. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Isabelle Foley, Catherine Foley, James Foley, Andrew Melucci, Emily Melucci, April Alfieri, Nathan Alfieri and Meghan Tomisman.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the following; Dr. David Shaffer and the entire staff at the New York Oncology and Hematology, Dr. Vinay Sood at Albany Medical Center Gastroenterology and Barbara Palma with the Eddy Visiting Nursing Association.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, Schenectady. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (rt. 155-South of Central Ave). Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
