Michael H. Murtagh

Cohoes- Michael H. Murtagh passed away Tuesday, August 18th 2015 with his wife by his side. Michael was born in Norwich, NY on March 1st, 1933. He was a graduate of Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. Michael retired from the N.Y.S. Thruway Authority in 1987 where he was a Traffic Operations Supervisor. Michael was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1895 in Rotterdam and was also a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He also served on the City Investigation and Intelligence Council.

Michael is survived by Marilyn "Lyn" Warnick Murtagh of Cohoes. Michael is also survived by his loving niece Michelle and several other nieces and nephews. Michael is predeceased by his mother Annie G. Fischer and stepfather Eugene Fischer of Glenville, NY, his siblings: Mary Faulkner of Scotia, NY, William Murtagh of San Antonio, Texas, Ann Swol of Schenectady, NY, Robert Murtagh of Norwich, NY and Julia Kieru of Glenville, NY.
