ALBANY – Michael H. Zink, 59, of Albany passed away suddenly on Tuesday August 20, 2013. He was born in Albany and was a 1972 graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School.
Mike is the son of Margaret (Peg) Haggerty Zink of Albany and the late Howard "Bucky" Zink. He was employed for 39 years with New York State, retiring in 2009. Mike enjoyed life and shared many good times and celebrations with his multitude of family and friends. He was an avid golfer and will be dearly missed by his loyal friends at the Park Pub in Troy. Mike would do anything for anyone and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a longtime fan of the Green Bay Packers and Boston Red Sox.
Mike is the devoted father of Matthew (Sarah) Zink. He is the loving Bumpa of Ceci Zink. Mike is the brother of Susan (Joe) Trimarchi, Karen (John) Cahill, Maureen (Patrick) Farrell, Kevin (Linda) Zink, Scott (Brandy) Zink and Brian Zink. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4 to 8 pm at Parish of Mater Christi, 40 Hopewell Street, Albany. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 9:00 at Mater Christi Church. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
