Princetown - Michael S. Hayden, 36, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Michael was born at Baylor University Medical Center, in Dallas, Texas. Michael was the beloved son of Linda Hayden, Michael Hayden and Stepmother Beth Hayden.
Michael is also survived by his beloved maternal grandparents Merton and Katherine VanWie; paternal grandparents, Patricia Hayden (Larry Janetsky) and predeceased by paternal grandfather Raymond Hayden; sisters Tabitha Hyam (Chris) and Jessica Hayden (Brian); step-grandparents Robert and Joan Moore; girlfriend Jody Riley, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Michael attended Schalmont Central School District, class of 2003. During this time Michael loved playing baseball both for the Rotterdam Little League and for the School. Michael was also in the All-Star League. Michael left High School to fulfill his lifelong dream, with help and guidance from his maternal grandfather, to open his own business. Michael was the proud owner of M&M Motors in Princetown where he enjoyed taking care of his customers.
Michael will be remembered for his selfless acts of kindness and support of his family and friends. Michael enjoyed; hunting with his father at the family hunting camp, fishing, bowling at Sportsmans Bowl where he was the Captain of his team and bowled countless 299's and proudly bowled his first 300 on December 20, 2018, and his many animals especially his beloved dog Meadow and cat Baby Girl. Michael also spent time everyday taking care of his maternal grandparents and mother where he enjoyed having dinners and playing cards with them.
We invite family and friends to come and celebrate Michael's life between the hours of 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the South Schenectady Fire Hall located at 6 Old Mariaville Road, Schenectady. As many know, Michael did not like dressing up, so to honor his memory please dress casually.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
