Michael A. Holt

Our beloved brother Michael Anthony Holt was born on September 29, 1959 in Albany, NY. Brother Michael departed this life on October 25, 2023. He was the son of the late Fred and Bessie Louise Holt of Albany, NY.
Michael attended public school within the Albany School District and was one of the star players for the Albany High School Varsity Team. Sports were his everything as it allowed him to escape. Michael would cheer on the teams of New York, whether it be football, basketball or baseball.
Michael was a steadfast and firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, mind and soul. He loved God and wanted to spread the love of God in any manner he could.
Michael helped to create a Bible study group within his home of residence to spread the Gospel of Christ. Michael took pride in coaching Little League, as well as sponsoring the "Keep it Clean" Basketball Clinic and Tournament which fostered children of the community to have respect for themselves as well as others. His love for Christ was truly transparent throughout all he endeavored with an unwavering heart to serve.
Brother you will deeply be missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Fred (Maria) Holt, Alphonso Holt, Lee (Tammi) Holt; sister, Stacey B. Cady-Holt; son, Michael X. Holt; daughters, Nikki D. (Clifford Harden) Holt and Colteia A. Holt; grandchildren, Amir Harden, Michael M. Holt, Ma'noya Holt, and Malachi Holt; partners, Angela Cancer and Dorothy Grimes; and a host of beloved family members and friends
He is predeceased by his brothers, Louis Stanford and Russell Holt; and his sister, Jeanenne C. Holt.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, 680 Delaware Ave, Albany, NY 12209.
