Michael Thomas Igoe, 41, of Woodridge, IL passed away on Friday October 4, 2013 of natural causes. Although he resided in the Midwest, Michael's heart never left the east coast and his cherished Yankees, as he was born in Albany, NY, June 30, 1972. He was the beloved husband of Marietta Xenos Igoe, the treasured son of Dawn Sullivan and Thomas Michael Igoe, stepmother, Arlea Igoe, stepfather Michael Sullivan and the adored brother and mentor of Codi and Jay Sullivan. He was dearly loved as a son by his in-laws, Marina and Dennis Xenos. Michael also leaves behind many family members and friends. He also left behind his four precious dogs, Gracie, Gucci, Fifi and Bear. Michael was a hardworking and ambitious man. He prided himself on always doing everything in his life, both professionally and personally, with an integrity and honesty that was admired by all who knew him. He had a heart of gold and a generosity that people could only aspire to have.
Calling hours will be held at Newcomer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY 12205 on Wednesday, October 9 from 4pm-8pm. The parish family of Christ the King will gather on Wednesday at 4:30 PM at the funeral home for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumpter Ave, Albany NY, 12203 on Thursday, October 10, at 10 AM.
Interment will take place at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St. New York, New York 10128 in memory of Michael T. Igoe.
