Michael J. Darling, Sr.

ALBANY – Michael J. Darling, Sr., 44, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 23, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Albany and lived in Boston, MA for most of his life. While living in Boston, Mike worked for B.A.C. Local #3. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid New York Yankees fan. He especially loved spending time with his three sons, family and friends.


Mike is the beloved father of Michael, Brian and Eric Darling. He is the devoted son of Lynette Berben and Michael Darling and the cherished brother of Christopher (Dennine) Darling. Mike is the loving grandson of Henry Berben and Doris Davis.


A Memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Guilderland. At the family's request and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, 965 Albany Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12210 in memory of Michael J. Darling, Sr.
