Michael J. Gordon

SCHENECTADY- Michael J. Gordon, 44, of Schenectady passed way on Thursday October 11, 2007 at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Albany and graduated from Colonie Central High School in 1981. Mike was a Capital Region resident for most of his life. He was a self employed contractor and worked as an instructor with Home Depot in Schenectady. Mike was passionate about his sons. He was an avid Nacscar fan and a Chevy big block enthusiast, He enjoyed camping and the outdoors.
He is survived by his two cherished sons, Brandon and Jason and their mother Lori Gordon. He is the beloved son of Peter (Connie) Gordon and Darlene Davis Gordon. He is the brother Gregory (Susan) Gordon and Anne Core. Mike is uncle of Shawn and Evan Gordon and Sherri and Randy (RJ) Core. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:00 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Pius X Church at 10:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 33 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
