Michael Moloney

COLONIE- Michael J. Moloney, 46, of Colonie passed away on Monday July 17, 2006 at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Albany and was a 1979 graduate of Christian Brothers Academy.
Mike was a senior clerk at the Albany County Nursing Home for over twenty years. He was an accomplished bowler and was recognized as the 2004 Sportsman of the Year at Albany Bowling Center. Mike was an avid fan of the New York Mets and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was predeceased in 2002 by his father Thomas F. Moloney.
Mike is survived by his mother, Anne T. Moloney of Colonie. He is the brother of Jim Moloney and his wife Mary of East Greenbush, Mary M. Ricard by her husband Michael of Altamont, Peter J. Moloney and his wife Maureen of Delmar, and the late Thomas F. Moloney Jr. He is the beloved uncle of Tim and Brendan Ricard, Kelly, Ryan, Katie and Lauren Moloney. He is the cherished friend of Rosie Jeffers, Kim Clancy and Claire Wilber.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 8:15 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and at the request of the family memorial contributions are suggested to Blessed Sacrament Church Building Fund, 607 Central Ave Albany NY 12206 or to the charity of one's choice in memory of Michael J.
