Michael M. Monforte, 77 passed away unexpectedly December 8th, 2021.
Originally from Albany, NY he was predeceased by his parents Charles and Margaret Monforte. A graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School, Michael continued his studies at Hudson Valley Community College earning a degree in Efficology. He went on to work for Bell Atlantic, before starting his own business. In 1977, Michael purchased a small vending business located in Albany and expanded across the capital region. He went on to start Saratoga Linen supply in 1991 and retired in 2007. In his last years he was instrumental in helping his son, Kris expand the Orchard Tavern. They opened Orchard Tavern West in Guilderland, NY in October of 2019. He was a voice of reason, fairness and support. In his last unknowing days Michael was excited with anticipation of his first grandchild. Krossifixio "Kross" Michael Monforte was born on 12/14/21.
He was a founding member and President of the Malta Lions Club. He believed in doing the right thing each and every day. He instilled that in his three boys and the Malta Lions Club.
Michael was married in 1977 and raised three sons, Kris, Kevin and Ken.

Calling hours are at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, on Tuesday, December 28, from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, December 29 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com
