Michael P. O'Toole, 66, of Colonie passed away following a brief illness at home Sunday, May 20, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

Michael was the beloved husband of Patricia (Labombard) O'Toole. They were married 40 years.
Loving father of Kelly O'Toole, August (JoAnne) Franze, Jr. and Michael (Marta) Franze. Cherished grandfather of Laura Franze and Robert Jenks III. Dearest brother of the late Jim O' Toole, the late Peggy O'Toole, Larry O'Toole and Patricia Klimchak.
Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Born in Albany on October 27, 1951, Michael was the son of the late James and Mary (Lansley) O'Toole. He received his education locally and was a lifelong Colonie resident.

Michael was an automotive technician with DPS Automotive, Engine Technologies, lastly a machinist technician with Cascades in Waterford, NY. Michael enjoyed spending time woodworking, working on engines, he was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed go-karts. Michael loved traveling with his family, muscle cars and building engines for local drag racing shows. He was also a member of WKA

Relatives and friends may 4-8 p.m., Wednesday May 23rd, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday May 24th at the funeral home, thence to: Memory Gardens in Colonie for the rite of committal.

The family wishes to thank the Community Hospice for their care and attentiveness these past couple weeks, especially Craig, social worker Nick.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Michael P. O'Toole.
