Michael Patterson

COLONIE - Michael Patterson, age 74, died peacefully at home early Easter Sunday morning with his family and friends by his side.

Michael was born on April 19th, 1951. He was the son of the late Myron and Elizabeth Patterson. He was predeceased by his wife Christine Coutant in 2009.

He worked for many years at Price Chopper. He was a hard worker and was promoted several times. His last position at Price Chopper was Vice President of Meat Merchandising.

Michael retired at 55 to care for his wife Christine during her battle with cancer. During this time, he would flip houses and became quite proficient as he was a stickler for detail in everything he did. In his younger days, Michael played basketball and baseball. As an adult, he took up running. He enjoyed following high school and college basketball. He was also passionate about the New York Yankees and proudly wore his Yankees baseball cap whenever the was out.

Michael is survived by his family and friends. His family includes his sisters, Kathleen and Janet; his brothers, Glenn (Paula) and Keith. Michael’s best buddies are Bob Devoe (cousin), John McGraw, Gene Itri and Bill. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew and cousins.

Michael was a quiet man but had a big heart. He was successful in life and enjoyed sharing this success with others. to donated to many charities including Dollars for Scholars and Pastor Charlie at Victory Church.

We will miss our big brother dearly. But we are glad that he is at peace and no longer suffering. He is resting comfortably in heaven with Christine. Thank you, Jesus for answering my prayers. Per Michael's request. there will be no calling hours.
