Michael R. Falzarano

Michael R Falzarano, 66, of Niskayuna died peacefully at home surrounded by his family Sunday, July 19 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

He was born in Cobleskill, NY on October 27, 1948, to the late Clement and Jeannette (Vincent) Falzarano. Michael was a graduate of the State University of New York at Cobleskill and worked at General Electric for over thirty years. He held various positions until his retirement in 2003 from their finance office. He was an active member of the former Woodlawn Reformed Church and in 2011 became a member of Lisha's Kill Reformed Church. Michael enjoyed many things in his life however his family was the most important. He was a loyal and constant husband, father and friend but what brought him absolute joy was his role of Grandpa to his seven grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his wife of 43 years Marjorie (Theall) Falzarano, daughter Gina (Eric), son Ken (Kim), grandchildren Steven Hanna, Delaney Bryson, Ethan, Hailey, Isabella, Natalie and Braedyn Falzarano, and sister Lynn Sauter of Boise Idaho.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Christian Gasson and the dedicated and compassionate staff at St Peter's Cancer Care Center, Radiation Oncology Department for the extraordinary care and unwavering support throughout this long battle. The family would also like to sincerely thank Barbara, Donna and the entire Hospice Care team for their guidance and comfort as well as the ladies from Kingsway Home Care Services who were so caring and helpful through this most difficult time.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Newcomer Funeral home with funeral service to follow.
