Glens Falls – Michael "Riles" W. Reilly, Jr., 50, passed away Tuesday March 30, 2010.
Michael was born in Brooklyn (Greenpoint), NY the son of Marie A. Reilly and Michael W. Reilly, Sr. The family moved to Albany when Michael was ten and he has been an area resident since. Riles drove cab for many years in both Albany and Glens Falls and also worked for VanAukin Trucking in Glens Falls. He had a love of animals, whether it was betting on the Thoroughbreds in August at the Saratoga Flat Track or hanging out with his favorite canine companion "Crash". He was a wonderful cook and a good friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his long time companion Jeanette "Nettie" Watson and her son Isiah Arner. Michael is also survived by his siblings: Kathleen Reilly-Myers, Donna (Dan) Reilly-Middleton and Matthew Zink, nieces and nephews: Michael Myers, Jr., Victoria Reilly, Daniel Middleton and Mikayla Mary Myers, several cousins and many dear friends.
The funeral service will be held Friday 11:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204.
