Latham - Michael Such, 67 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Watervliet on March 13, 1956 to Stanley and Lila (Altieri) Such. Michael was raised in Watervliet and was a graduate of Watervliet High School, HVCC, SUNY Oswego and received his Master's degree from SUNY Albany.
In his early years Michael operated "Big Mike's Arco" gas station in Watervliet, then went out to pursue an alarm/security business "Loss Prevention Consultants." He was also the owner/operator of "Security and Such." Michael worked his way through college as a short order cook and took a position as a counselor at a school for court appointed students in Great Barrington, MA. Eventually, Michael found his niche with a career as a Professor of Criminal Justice at HVCC. He was a revered member of the faculty, working there for 30+ years. This was very near and dear to his heart. His pride and joy though, was his '67 convertible Camaro SS 350 which he enjoyed for 49 years.
He is predeceased in death by his parents. He is survived by the Love of His Life for the past 26 years, Peggy Evans, his brother David (Janet), his sister Kristine (Brian), several nieces and grandnieces. Also survived by an Aunt, Uncle, several cousins and his Georgia Family.
