ALBANY - Michael S. Tice ("Big Dog", "Iron", "Ticer") 56, passed away on October 4, 2020 of Stage 4 colon cancer. He was the middle child born to Edward J. and Velma A. (LaDuke) Tice. He attended Christ the King School, Guilderland Central High School and Schenectady County Community College where he attended as a culinary arts major. He participated in football and volleyball while at Guilderland Central High School and he coached Guilderland Pop Warner football.
He worked for TransWorld Entertainment as well as the NYS Department of Mental Health under the auspices of the Capital District Psychiatric Center.
He leaves behind his loving wife Lisa, his brothers Ralph and Shawn, Sister-in-Law Karen, nephews Ed and Zachary, nieces Julia and Alyssa, great nieces Aliyah and Selena as well as a huge extended family and many friends.
Calling hours will be held from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 4:00 pm on Monday, October 12, 2020 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
Donations may be made in Michael's memory to the American Cancer Society, St. Peter's Hospital or the Hudson Mohawk Humane Society.
