Michael W. Chrysler, 51, of Schenectady, NY, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Ellis Hospital. He went peacefully, in the presence of his mother and nephew.
He is greatly missed by his family: his daughter, Jennifer Carlson; his sons, Scott and Brian Chrysler; his son-in-law, Chris Carlson; his daughter-in-law, Lacey Chrysler; and his three grandchildren, Lyla, Brynn, and Cannon Chrysler. He also leaves behind his three siblings; his two nieces, and his three nephews.
Michael was born in Albany on May 8, 1964, to the late Jerome O. Chrysler and Jacqueline (McCumber) Chrysler. He was raised in Albany County and attended Berne-Knox-Westerlo schools until his graduation. In June 1982, he joined the United States Marine Corps, obtained the rank of Lance Corporal, and was honorably discharged in April 1985. In the mid-nineties he began training as an EMT and Critical Care Technician, volunteering at Altamont Rescue Squad, and working for both them and Mohawk Ambulance in Schenectady. These jobs led him to later become a dispatcher for emergency services in Schenectady County, where he worked until his passing.
In accordance with Michael's wishes, there will not be a public service. His children will be planning a private service for a later date.
