Albany - Michele "Michael" A. Trichilo, 85, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Michael was born in Siderno, Reggio Calabria, Italy and was the son of the late Agostino and Rosa (Maleca) Trichilo. Michael is the devoted husband to Shirley Trichilo for 54 years.
Michael was a chef for Panetta's Restaurant and Northway Inn for many years before retiring.
Michael enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved cooking for them. Michael also enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in his garden, along with spending time with his loving grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his son, Angelo M. (Raffaella) Trichilo, brother, Carlo (the late Esther) Trichilo, sister, Modesta (Dominick) Mercuri, sister, Mary Sansalone, brother, Giuseppe (the late Ida) Trichilo, sister-in-law, Theresa Trichilo, grandchildren, Michael A. Trichilo, Paul A. Trichilo, and Christina N. Trichilo, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Michael is predeceased by his brother, Domenico Trichilo.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Dolores Cuenca and also to St. Peter's ICU staff for the care and concern given to Michael.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St., Albany, (behind CVS). Entombment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
