Michelle Lee Culbertson

Michelle Lee Culbertson, 53, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 with her loving family by her side.
Michelle was the daughter of Deborah and the late James Amanatides.
Michelle was the devoted wife of over 33 years to Richard A. Culbertson.
She worked and attended St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and volunteered at Montessori Magnet School for many years. Michelle loved to help people. She was a transporter and rescuer of all kinds of animals and wildlife. Her true passion was caring for and fostering dogs and cats.
Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking holiday meals, shopping and garage sales.
Michelle is survived by her mother Deborah, her husband Rich, her daughters, Megan and Kaylee Culbertson. Her brothers James, Peter and Gregory Amanatides, her "sissy" Lisa Culbertson and a host of close family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY on Saturday April 22, 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to A Voice for the Voiceless Cat Rescue 1769 Lenox Road, Schenectady, NY 12308.
