NASSAU – Michelle Marie Gionet-Therrien, 48, wife of Shayne M. Therrien, passed away on January 14, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital.
"Sunny" as she was known by many, was born on November 25, 1973 to the late Richard J. Gionet and Diane I. Werner. Michelle graduated from Columbia H.S., and went on to study at Hudson Valley.
Michelle was full of light and happiness, always smiling, which is how she got her nickname, "Sunny". Michelle worked at many places but loved her work family at Ralph's Tavern in Albany the most. She also loved her family, friends, and her dogs, Jewlz and Bouncer. She enjoyed being outside working in her gardens and helping in her aunt's greenhouses.
Michelle was a beautiful soul that will be missed by many.
She is survived by her husband Shayne; her step children Kayley and Tyler Therrien; her sister, Keri Gionet; her aunt, Dawn Pawlson; her uncles, Roger Gionet and Tom Werner; her niece, Madelyn Christiansen; many beloved cousins and her best friend, Monica Maguire.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A celebrations of Sunny's life will immediately follow at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com
