Michelle L. Salisbury

Michelle L. Salisbury, 38, of East Greenbush, died on Sunday, November
9, 2014, at Albany Medical Center. Michelle was born on March 24, 1976
in Albany, NY. She graduated Salutatorian from Columbia High School in
1994. Michelle attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT,
obtaining a Bachelors degree in Government and Psychology with honors in
1998. Following graduation, Michelle moved to Boston to work for The
Cadmus Group as a Project Manager. It was in Boston that she met her
future husband, Jon Orris. Together they moved to Durham, NC where
Michelle attended Duke University, and received her Masters in Public
Policy in 2007. In Summer of 2007, Michelle and Jon returned to
Michelle's hometown of East Greenbush, where she was selected to be a
Carey Fellow for the New York State Division of Budget, and later joined
NYSERDA as a Senior Project Manager. Salisbury and Orris were married on
June 8, 2008.

Michelle was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her first child, Sean
Edward.

Michelle is survived by her husband, Jon D. Orris; mother, Judy
Salisbury; grandfather, Edward M. Salisbury; brother, Brian E. (Cristen)
Salisbury; and nieces, Elliote and Reilly.

Michelle was predeceased by her father, Edward L. Salisbury.

Michelle could always be counted on by her friends and family for her
sage advice, her comfort baking, and a healthy argument.
Calling hours for Michelle will be held on Friday November 14th from 5 – 8 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home. A celebration of Michelle's life will be held following the calling hours at 8 p.m., where family and friends will be encouraged to share their memories and stories of Michelle. Interment will be on Saturday November 15th at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Greenbush at 10:30 a.m.
