Michelle J. Quackenbush of Rotterdam, entered into eternal life at age 47 on February 16, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Michelle was born August 22, 1975, in Niskayuna and grew up in Scotia, graduated Scotia-Glenville. After earning her paralegal degree at SCCC and obtaining her Realtors License, after which she worked for various law firms.
Michelle met Jason Quackenbush on June 8, 1991. She was the love of Jason's life. They married on October 31, 2009. On Halloween, her favorite holiday! Love at First Site was their wedding song. Besides Salem Massachusetts, Cooperstown was a place Michelle enjoyed visiting where shew and Jason would rent a cabin on Lake Otsego, spending time with their beloved fur babies: Minney, Chewy, Lily, Daisy and Puffy, who filled their lives with joy. Michelle's most favorite place was any beach along the ocean. Many fond memories with her family were spent there.
As a child, she loved spending time with her grandparents, Mema and Papa. She was the eldest child in our family, and old soul from day one. A very giving and compassionate person, volunteering her time to help anyone or any animal in need. She also enjoyed backing cupcakes, organizing, and decorating, making our special family occasions sparkle. Literally!
Michelle was our beautiful and loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Her gentle spirit along with her soft-spoken voice will be dearly missed.
During her long illness, her loving husband was right by her side.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Jason Quackenbush, her parents, Michael and Roseanna Borisenko, siblings Michael (Lindsay) Borisenko, Amie Borisenko, Lindsy (Phil) Grassucci, nieces and nephews Daniella, Nicolette, Liam, Alissa, and Aleena, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins along with her dear friends Crystal Elliott, Tammy and Marty Goodman and Deb & Danielle Osborne.
A Memorial Service to honor Michelle will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm, at Awaken Church, 935 Balltown Road, Niskayuna, NY, 12309 at 6:00pm. Pastor Eric Diewald will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michelle's memory can be made to the Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany NY 12205, or the Animal Protective Foundation (APF) 53 Maple Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12302.
