Michelle L. Stetz

Michelle Gomula-Stetz, 55, of Rensselaer passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024 after a lengthy illness.

Michelle was born on November 24, 1968 to the late Robert and Frances Gomula of Amsterdam, NY. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1987 and then went on to be a CNA for over 20 years. Michelle loved her family more than anything. Being a mother and grandmother were her proudest roles. Her family always came first before anything else. She enjoyed being outside in the sun, going out for ice cream and visiting the Chatham Fair every summer.

Michelle was a loving mother to Matthew (Meghan) Chase, Kaitlyn Stetz, Joseph Stetz, and Tyler (Nicole) Stetz and proud "Mema" to Carter and Edward. In addition, Michelle is survived by her brother Michael (Kristin) Gomula, her niece Michaela and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10am-11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205 followed by a celebration of life luncheon held at the Colonie Fire Company- 1631 Central Ave, Albany, NY.

Per the request of the family, the burial will be private at a later date.
