Miguel Antonio Esteves, 54, passed away peacefully Friday, January 20, 2023 at home in Watervliet, NY. He was born on August 5, 1968 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Jorge William Esteves and Julia Martinez.
When he was 3 days old, his mother flew from Puerto Rico to New York City. This is where Miguel lived until moving to Watervliet, NY for 20 years until his passing.
He married Celeste Esteves (Riley) on September 5, 1990, in Queens, NY. He was a 1991 graduate of Building Maintenance School in Bronx, NY. He worked as and exterior/interior painter for 18 years with Pro-Painters of Clifton Park. He reached places to paint on the ladder that no one else would go.
He loved watching new movies and TV shows that came out. Miguel was a conspiracy theorist. He loved going to the buffet for crab legs. If you needed him, he was there for you - painting, repairing or giving some type of advice.
He is survived by his wife, Celeste; his 5 children, Crystal, Jocelin, Michael, Alyssa and Julie Esteves; his 8 grandchildren, Elijah, Antonio, Chole, Grace, Aalia, Cailey, Kenya and Dan Jr.; his brothers and sisters, Melissa Esteves, Jorge (Mark) Esteves, Ivan Perales, Wilson (Johanna) Perales, Brenda (Miguel) Rodriguez and predeceased by his brother Rafael Morales (Bon Bon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family, friends and others whose lives Miguel touched are invited to the calling hours at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home at 4:30 pm.
