WATERVLIET- Albert R. "Mike" Alaxanian, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side August 27, 2017. Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marion Mroz Alaxanian. He was the son of the late Aram and Anna Connors Alaxanian and is predeceased by his son Matthew Alaxanian (2015).
Mike retired in 1998 from Norton Company-Saint Gobain in Watervliet after 38 years. In retirement he loved golfing and was a member of the Old Timers League in Troy. He enjoyed his many trips to Las Vegas with his wife Marion. He was an avid history buff and he enjoyed doing antique furniture restorations.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived his son, Daryl (Tamara) Alaxanian; four cherished granddaughters: Jamie, Janine, Ashley and Jessica. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and son, Mike is also predeceased by his siblings: Mary, Thomas and James Alaxanian, Lucille Yamin, Regina Shippee, and Anne Trianni.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday September 1, 2017 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 2416 7th Avenue, Watervliet at 10:00am.
Friends may call at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Latham.
