Mildred M. "Micki" Betzwieser

Mildred M. “Micki” Betzwieser, 80, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024.

Born in Albany on May 6, 1944, Micki was the daughter of the late Theodore and Dorothy (Hartigan) Beck.

Micki was a 1962 graduate of Colonie High School. She took great joy in volunteering at Albany Memorial Hospital. Micki valued the memories while traveling throughout the world with her husband. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, reading, listening to music, and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, as well as baking. Above everything, she deeply cherished the time spent with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, James L. Beck and Theodore R. Beck; nephew, Frederick W. Bauer IV; and her beloved cat, Oscar.

Mildred leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 55 years, Herbert; children, Richard (Yvette), Eric (Michele), Tanya; grandchildren, Tyler, Krista, Julius (grand-cat), Daniel Ryan (Ashley) and Samantha Ryan; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Michael and Logan; sister, Evelyn Bauer (Fred); niece, Carole Plant (Timothy); nephew, Timothy Bauer.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr, Albany, NY 12211. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
