COLONIE – Mildred E. Burkhart, 87, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 3, 2011.
She was born in Bethlehem, NY on July 2, 1924 to the late Jacob and Anna Kehrer Schwartz. A longtime Colonie resident, Mildred was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. Mildred was a member of the Mohawk Hudson Railroad Club.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Burkhart and her stepdaughter, Phyllis Clarke.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Judi Burkhart of Green Island and Raymond Burkhart Jr. She is the sister of the late Frederick Schwartz. Mildred is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 1 great grand daughter and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 1:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
