Mildred Ellan Peek
June 26, 1916 — November 13, 2014
COLONIE – Mildred E. Peek, 98, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 13, 2014,
after a brief illness.
Mildred was a longtime resident of Colonie. She graduated from
Draper High School, and was an active member of several senior groups, and
activities including Bingo, card games, bus trips, luncheons, and dinners. Mildred would do anything to help anyone who needed it. She was an inspiration to all, and found the good in every situation. She was an amazing woman. She is loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her two daughters Delima A. Alling of Colonie, and Karen E. Brust
(James Brust) of Guilderland; grandsons Jeffrey P. Alling II (Theresa Alling) of
Rotterdam, Marc M. Alling (Christine Benjamin) of Colonie, along with several
great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
We'd like to give many thanks to St. Peter's Home Care and hospital staff for all of their
help and support.
A memorial service will be held on Monday November 17, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Inurnment will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 10:30 am at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New York Special Olympics, 504 Balltown Road, Schenectady, NY 12304 for Christopher Wideman.
