COLONIE – Mildred "Sis" L. Ryan, 87, of Colonie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 31, 2011 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Sis was predeceased by her parents James and Elizabeth Bosher, her sister Jane Boni and her beloved son William LaBombard. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was an active member of the Town of Colonie Republican party serving as a committee woman for 37 years. Sis was a lifelong member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Daniel J. Ryan. Mildred is the devoted mother of James (Marianne) Ryan, mother in law of Dorothy Labombard Green, sister of Elizabeth Normandin; cherished grandmother of Georganna, Billy, Jimmy, Matt and Katie. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Our Savior's Lutheran Church at 10:00. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 63 Mountainview Avenue, Albany, NY 12205. The family would like to thank the people of The Community Hospice for their assistance and kindness.
