Mildred Leavenworth

Albany – Mildred Leavenworth, 89, passed away Saturday October 6, 2007 at the Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Home. Born in St. Johnsville, NY the daughter of the late Myron and Hattie Robinson, Millie was an upstate resident her entire life.

Millie was a very social person. She loved to bowl, sometimes in as many as three leagues. When her children were younger Millie was a Girl Scout Leader and more recently she was active in Senior Citizens Groups, especially the Lisha's Kill Club 55 and she has always been an active member of the Lisha's Kill Reformed Church.

Millie was predeceased by her husband William A. Leavenworth, who died in1967. They are survived by their children; Douglas (Rose) Leavenworth of Claremore, OK, Robin (Ken) Coirin of Caroga Lake, Karen (Michael) Sears of Talkeetna, AK, Dawn (Robert) Dunn of Glens Falls and Keith (Kathi) Leavenworth of Schenectady, her grandchildren; Dean (Sharon) Coirin, Kathleen Leavenworth, Steven (Teri) Coirin, Sondra Sears, William (Kathy) Leavenworth, Jennifer Coirin, Amber Sears, Matthew (Melissa) Dunn, Nathan Dunn, Katrina (Chris) Stimpson, Millie Leavenworth and Jacob Leavenworth, great-grandchildren; Mitchell Coirin, Heather Coirin, Griffin Coirin, Grace Coirin, Addison Leavenworth, Kaitlyn Leavenworth and Rowan Stimpson; siblings; Frances Walrath and T. Richard Robinson and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her infant daughter Sondra Joyce and her siblings; Douglas Robinson, Janet Brezynski, Catherine Ryan and Emma Robinson.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 am at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills, NY. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, 85 Watervliet, Ave., Albany, NY 12206-2083.
